Fred Bruce-Oliver’s playing days began in the late 1970s at Pomona College in Claremont. During his time at Pomona College, the Segehens won 3 SCIAC Championships and played in the NCAA Division II Finals in 1975. Bruce-Oliver also played semi-professional soccer for the Claremont UCFD for 2 years.

Fred began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at the University of La Verne from 1981-1982 and then coached at Cal Poly Pomona from 1983-1989. Fred has been the Head Men's soccer coach at Citrus College since 1997 and has been the Men’s Head Coach at Claremont High School for nearly 30 years. He has coached club soccer teams for almost 20 years.
