Saturday 10:30 AM vs Corinthians 0-2 loss. The Storm improved against
the Corinthians from the previous game. Conditioning and ball control
seemed to play into the loss, both areas that the coaches have
identified and will continue to work on through the seasons conclusion
in three weeks.
18th
Sunday 1:45 PM @ Necaxa (Kranze JH) 4-4 Tie. The offense is
starting to show some life. For the second match in a row the Storm
scored four goals. Goals by Cory Hodge (2), Issac Rodriguez (1),
Christian Izabal (2), & Anthony Li (3). Down 4-3 with time
running out the Storm score a game tying goal for the final score. The
team is still getting too many cards, with a red card given to Edgar
late in the game. Out Ryan, David, Connor, & Martin.
11th
Sunday 9:45 AM @ Pumas Oro (San Berdo) 4-1 win The day after the
local high school had it's Homecoming dance the Storm play with exactly
11 players for the second game in a row. With Connor Ritchie (broken
foot), Ryan Connor (broken hand), and David Standerfer (muscle pull in
hip) all sitting on side line with injuries watched an inspired team
take control of the game early and cruise to a 4-1 win. New coaches
Fred Bruce Oliver and Kevin Goodman have team playing good ball control
through out game. Scores by Cory Hodge (1) off a corner kick, Parker
Langdon(2) on a chip shop over the goalie, and two goals by Anthony Li (2)

5th.
With head coach suspended for two games and apathy running a little too high on
team a change in coaching staff was made to finish out season. Fred
Bruce Oliver was brought in to add stability and calmness to
the team and sideline. Practice moved to La Puerta 7:30 PM on M
& W.
4th
Sunday 12:00 @ Inter-Cites (Fairway Park) 0-2 loss. Another tough
loss. In a game that saw head coach Jason red carded, the game was
another battle. I hate to say this but the Silver East division is the
division of thugs. The games are more a battle of survival than soccer.
David Standerfer suffered a slight muscle pull in his hip and is
out two weeks. Only 11 players suited up for game.
3rd
Saturday 12:15 vs. Riverside BU18 0-2 loss. Without Connor Ritchie,
(broken foot), Andres Vargas (flu) , Griffin Easter and Scott Donaldson
(SAT review course) the Storm lose 2-0. Early in first half Ryan
Connor was upended and landed on hand awkwardly but continued to
play. Wtih a minute left before half Riverside scores a goal for 1-0
halftime lead. During second half Ryan was again knocked
over and received a red card for words spoken to the oposing player.

3:05 PM Away vs Riverside @ San Bernardino Field 6. 1-4 loss. Basically
team did not come prepared to play. Riverside scored the first goal in
the 1st minute of the game. The Storm fought back to tie the game but

goes down with a blind hard hit non call tackle and is out
for game. Corintheans capitalize and go into half up 1-0. Early in the
2nd half Ryan is called for a hard slide tackle and receives a straight
red card, 1st of his career at any level of play. A foul that was
no harder than what the ref crew had been allowing up to that point in
play. The Storm scores a goal to tie only to lose it to an offside call
(5th goal taken to off side call in three games,) With the team
now playing one man down the Corintheans capitalize and score four
late second half goals . Edgar Negron and Martin McCormack did not suit up

13th
1:15 PM Home vs Puma - 2-0 Win. With Coach Jason sitting out a two game
supension for receiving a red card in yesterday's game the Storm
rebounded with a 2-0 home win against Club Puma. The storm scored one
goal in each half by Garret Hill 2
(2). Two other goals were not
allowed due to the offside call. Both calls required discussion by the
center and side line referee's. Good defense and good ball
movement kept the ball at the Storm's feet. Martin McCormack goes
down in second half after he and an opposing player hit heads. Martin
receives 3 staples to repair the damage.
